An exquisite pair of late Gustavian tabourets, signed IEH by the Stockholm master Johan Erik Höglander (active 1777–1813). The long sides are gracefully curved, and the aprons are adorned with carved scale motifs and corner rosettes (flourons). The paint is the original color, selectively retouched. The legs are elegantly decorated with acanthus leaf carvings.
