Late 18th Century Gustavian Faience Table with Red Stand

A tray table with a removable faience top made at the Rörstrand faience factory in Stockholm during the 1780s/90s. The motif depicts a naval battle in sepia tones. The top has been restored. The base is typical of the Swedish Gustavian style, featuring a cross-bracing between the legs. The legs are turned with fluted carvings and overhangs, and the table is adorned with an intricately carved bead border.
