A black-painted chest of drawers in early Rococo, made in Stockholm, Sweden, around 1760. The chest is fitted with gilded mounts and retains its original locks. As it was made during the early Rococo period, its design is relatively restrained and not as curvaceous as later Rococo pieces. Two-drawer chests are uncommon in Sweden, this design reflects the influence of French taste.
